Terms of Service

Welcome to PooTroop! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PooTroop mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by PooTroop LLC ("PooTroop", "we", "us", or "our"), a Louisiana limited liability company. By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the app, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We record your acceptance, including the date and time, in our system.
1. Services Provided
PooTroop provides professional pet waste removal services for residential properties. Services include recurring scheduled cleanups (twice weekly, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) and one-time cleanup services. Additional services ("Add-Ons"), such as yard sanitization or deodorizing, may be added to a recurring schedule or to individual visits for an additional per-visit charge.
Service is performed by independent contractors retained by PooTroop. While these contractors operate under PooTroop's standards and direction, they are not employees of PooTroop.
2. Service Area
Our Service is currently available only in designated portions of the greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. Available service ZIP codes are shown during signup. We reserve the right to decline service to addresses outside of our coverage area, and to add, remove, or modify service areas at any time.
3. Account Registration
To use our Service, you must create an account using Google or Apple sign-in. You must provide accurate and complete information and must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. You agree to keep your contact information (name, phone number, email, and service address) current. Missed visits, missed notifications, or billing problems caused by outdated contact information are not eligible for credit.
4. Billing & Payment
Recurring Billing
By signing up for a recurring service plan, you authorize PooTroop to automatically charge your saved payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Recurring clients are billed on the 1st of each month for visits scheduled in that billing cycle.
Signup, Setup Fees & Proration
When you sign up, we calculate your initial charge based on the day of the month:
Sign up on the 1st through the 15th: you are charged a prorated amount covering the remainder of the current month, and recurring billing then resumes on the 1st of the following month.
Sign up on the 16th or later: you are charged a prorated amount covering the remainder of the current month plus the entirety of the following month. Recurring billing then resumes on the 1st of the month after that.
PooTroop may charge a one-time setup fee per service address at signup. The amount of any setup fee, if applicable, will be disclosed in the app before you confirm your purchase.
One-Time Services
One-time cleanup services are charged in full at the time of booking.
Add-On Services
Add-On services scheduled on a recurring basis are charged for each visit on which they are performed and are included in your monthly invoice. One-time Add-Ons are charged with the visit on which they occur.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you and may retry the charge. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or cancellation of your service.
Taxes
Prices shown in the app are exclusive of any applicable sales or other taxes, which will be added to your invoice where required by law.
5. Cancellation, Skipping & Pausing
Cancelling Recurring Service
You may cancel your recurring service at any time through the app or by contacting us. There is no cancellation fee. When you cancel mid-month, you may either (a) finish out the month, with no further visits scheduled after the period ends, or (b) stop visits immediately and receive a service credit for any remaining paid visits, subject to admin approval. Service credits are not refundable to your payment method.
Pausing Service
If you need to temporarily stop service without cancelling, contact us to request a pause on your schedule. While paused, no visits are generated and no recurring charges are issued. Service resumes automatically on the date you specify.
Cancelling Individual Visits
48+ hours notice: full service credit is applied to your account.
Less than 48 hours notice: no credit is issued.
The 48-hour notice requirement may be longer for certain services; the applicable minimum is shown in the app at the time of booking.
6. Credits & Refund Policy
PooTroop operates on a credit-based system. Credits are applied automatically to your next monthly invoice and do not expire while your account is active. We do not issue cash refunds to your payment method.
7. Referral Program
PooTroop offers a Referral Program that lets active clients earn account credit by referring new clients to PooTroop. Participation in the Referral Program is optional and is governed by the rules in this Section 7, in addition to the rest of these Terms.
Eligibility
The Referral Program is available to active PooTroop clients in good standing. PooTroop reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disable any individual client's ability to participate in the Referral Program at any time, with or without cause. Once your participation is disabled, no further credits will be issued for any of your referrals — including referrals already in flight whose link was generated or shared while you were still eligible.
How Credits Are Earned
A referral credit is earned when all of the following are true:
A new client (the "referee") signs up to PooTroop using your unique referral link;
The referee completes the number of visits paid for by their first invoice; and
The qualifying visit is completed within the attribution window currently in effect (currently ninety (90) days from the referee's signup date).
The referee must be a genuinely new PooTroop client. Referees who match the referrer on email address, phone number, or payment account, as well as referees that PooTroop reasonably determines to be the same person as, or under the control of, the referrer, do not qualify. PooTroop's determination on eligibility is final.
Credit Amount and Limits
The credit amount per qualifying referral is the amount displayed on your "Refer a Friend" page in the app at the time the credit is earned. PooTroop may change the credit amount at any time. To prevent abuse, PooTroop may also impose a daily cap on the number of referral credits a single client can earn; the current cap, if any, is shown on your "Refer a Friend" page.
Form of Credit
Referral credits are issued as account credit only. Credits:
Are applied automatically to your next monthly invoice;
Are not redeemable for cash and are not refundable to your payment method;
Are not transferable to another account or person; and
Do not expire while your account is active, but may be forfeited if your account is terminated.
Modification, Suspension, and Termination
PooTroop reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to (a) change the rules, eligibility criteria, credit amount, attribution window, daily cap, or any other aspect of the Referral Program, (b) suspend or terminate the Referral Program in whole or in part, and (c) revoke any credit earned in violation of these Terms or that PooTroop reasonably believes was earned through fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Referral Program. Continued participation in the Referral Program after any change constitutes acceptance of the change.
Disclosure Obligations of Referrers
If you publicly recommend PooTroop in connection with the Referral Program — for example, on social media, in a review, or on a website — you are responsible for complying with any applicable disclosure laws or platform rules, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines. You should clearly disclose that you receive a benefit from PooTroop when a person uses your referral link.
8. Service Access, Photos & Property
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to your property for our service technicians, including accurate gate codes, securing aggressive or anxious animals away from the service area, and maintaining a safe work environment.
For properties you have indicated have a gate, our technician will photograph the gate at the end of each visit to document that it was properly closed after service. By using our Service, you consent to these photos being taken and stored for verification purposes.
You agree to indemnify and hold PooTroop, its employees, and its independent contractors harmless from any injury caused by your animals during service. Any property damage caused by PooTroop must be reported through the app or by emailing us within seven (7) days of the visit during which the damage occurred. Claims reported after seven (7) days may not be eligible for resolution.
9. Communications & Consent
By providing your phone number or email and granting communications consent in the app, you authorize PooTroop to send you operational messages related to your service, including visit confirmations, technician arrival notices, payment receipts, and account updates, by email and SMS. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
You may opt out of email notifications at any time through your account settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any non-essential email. You may opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP to any message or by toggling SMS communications off in your account settings.
10. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service to any client at our discretion, with or without cause, including for non-payment, unsafe conditions on the property, abusive conduct toward our technicians, fraudulent activity, or violation of these Terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POOTROOP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO POOTROOP IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Louisiana. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.
15. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, non-payment, or fraudulent activity.
